# Download SAML metadata

If your SAML service provider supports updating SAML configuration using metadata, you can download the metadata from IDaaS. The download contains the signing certificate and other information you need to configure your service provider for IDaaS authentication.

1. See the instructions for the applicable [preconfigured SAML application](/docs/applications-and-sso/saml-integration-guides.md) to add the application to IDaaS. There is a setting on the **Add Applications** or **Edit Applications** page for you to select the signing certificate.
2. Update the SAML service provider configuration with the new signing certificate. See the instructions for the applicable [preconfigured SAML application](/docs/applications-and-sso/saml-integration-guides.md).
