# Zoom

Zoom provides video-telephony and online chat services through a cloud-based peer-to-peer software platform and is used for teleconferencing, telecommuting, distance education, and social relations (see <https://zoom.us/>). You can protect access to Zoom by integrating Zoom with Identity as a Service. Once integrated, users can use single sign-on to log in to their Zoom account through Identity as a Service.

note

This integration was tested using Identity as a Service version 5.13 and Zoom Release October 2020. Other versions of Zoom may require integration and configuration steps that differ from those documented in this procedure. For other versions of Zoom, use this procedure as a starting point for integrating Zoom. In the event of other issues, contact <support@entrust.com> for assistance.

To integrate Zoom with Identity as a Service, you must have a Business or Education account and an approved Vanity URL. See the following Zoom documentation for more information on how to obtain a Vanity URL:

<https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201363003-Getting-started-with-SSO>

<https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/215062646-Guidelines-for-Vanity-URL-Requests>

To integrate Zoom, do the following:

## Step 1: Download the Zoom metadata file

Download the Zoom metadata file. You use this file when you Add Zoom to Identity as a Service.

1. Log in to your Zoom account at <https://mycompany.zoom.us>.

2. In the **Admin** menu, click **Advanced > Single Sign-on**. The **Single Sign-On** page appears.

3. Click **Enable Single Sign-On**. The Configure **SSO Manually** page appears.

4. Return to the **Admin** menu and click **Account Management > Account Profile**. The **Account Profile** page appears.

5. Review the **Vanity URL**.

6. Open a Web browser and paste the Vanity URL in the browser in the following format:

   **Example:** <https://mycompany.zoom.us/saml/metadata/sp>

The metadata file downloads by default as an xml file named sp.xml. You need to upload the metadata file in _Step 2: Add Zoom to Identity as a Service_.

## Step 2: Copy the SAML Configuration from Identity as a Service

Copy the SAML Configuration from Identity as a Service

1. Log into your Identity as a Service administrator account.

3. Under **SAML Cloud Integrations**, click **SAML Configuration**. The **SAML Configuration** dialog box appears.

   This dialog box contains information you need to configure your SAML application for Identity as a Service authentication.

4. Do one of the following:

   - Leave this dialog box open to reference later in this procedure.
   - Copy the Entity ID, Single Sign-on URL, and Single Logout URL to a text file and save it to reference later in this procedure.

note

Depending on the integration you are performing, you may not need all three of these SAML configuration values.
