Manage Face Biometrics with Entrust Identity Verification

The Face Biometric authenticator uses Entrust Identity Verification to verify users. Registration and authentication can be performed using the web to store the user's face biometric in Entrust Identity Verification, or using the Entrust Identity Mobile application to store the user's biometric information on a mobile device.

To set up Face Biometric, you need to do the following:

  1. Configure an Entrust Identity Verification account in IDaaS.
  2. Create an API key token and webhook in Entrust Identity Verification and add them to IDaaS.
  3. Create a registration workflow in Entrust Identity Verification and then add the registration workflow ID to IDaaS. Reference the System Requirements for the version of the Entrust Identity Verification SDK used with IDaaS and Entrust Identity.
  4. Create an authentication workflow in Entrust Identity Verification and then add the authentication workflow ID to IDaaS. Reference the System Requirements for the version of the Entrust Identity Verification SDK used with IDaaS and Entrust Identity.

To configure face biometric, you need to configure both Entrust Identity Verification and IDaaS. The simplest way to do the configuration involves opening two browser windows side by side: one logged into your IDaaS administrator account, and the other one logged in to your Entrust Identity Verification administrator account.

Face Biometric is also used by Entrust Identity Verification to verify users during onboarding and automatically provision a Face Authenticator. For details, see Set up Entrust Identity Verification.
