# MacOS: Verify Device Agent

To verify the installation of Device Agent

1. Open **Applications > Utilities > System Information**.
2. In the left pane, expand **Software/SmartCards**.
3. Ensure that Entrust Device Agent Smart Identity Bluetooth Reader is in the **Readers** list.
4. Ensure that `com.entrust.identity.mobile.device-agent.scrbteader:*` is in the **Reader Drivers** list.
5. Open `https://localhost:8080` in Chrome, and confirm that a page `{"serverStatus":"UP","cardState":null,"date":"some date"}` appears.

note

The Entrust Device Agent Smart Identity Bluetooth Reader adds the `com.entrust.identity.mobile.device-agent.scrbteader` key to the System Keychain on the initial run after installation. Do not delete this key or the Bluetooth Reader will be unusable.

## Troubleshoot installation

If installation of Device Agent for Mac fails, run the following command to capture the installation logs. For assistance, contact Entrust Customer Support.

sudo installer -dumplog -pkg device-agent-macos-*.pkg -target / > install.log 2>&1
```
