# Windows: Configure Device Agent settings

## Registry location

Entrust Device Agent reads its configuration from  
`Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Entrust\Bluetooth`.

## Logging level

| Name     | Type       | Default | Description                             |
| -------- | ---------- | ------- | --------------------------------------- |
| LogLevel | REG\_DWORD | 2       | Controls Device Agent logging verbosity |

Value options:

| Value | Meaning                       |
| ----- | ----------------------------- |
| 0     | Disable logging               |
| 1     | Errors only                   |
| 2     | Warnings and errors (default) |
| 3     | Informational messages        |
| 4     | Debugging details             |
| 5     | Trace-level output            |

> When enabling debug or trace logging, increase log file size limits to handle the additional data.

## Log file size

| Name           | Type       | Default | Description                                           |

| LogFileMaxSize | REG\_DWORD | 1       | Maximum log file size in megabytes for the reader log |

## Log file location

By default, the Entrust Smart Identity Bluetooth Reader writes logs to `C:\Windows\Temp`.
