# Getting started

Identity as a Service (IDaaS) is available in different bundles. Your bundle and user role determine which IDaaS features are available to you. This documentation describes all features, including some that might not be visible to you.

- For more information about IDaaS bundles, see [IDaaS Bundles](/docs/get-started/identity-as-a-service-bundles.md).
- For more information about roles, see [Create, assign, and manage roles](/docs/people-and-access/manage-members/create-assign-and-manage-roles.md).

note

This document uses IDaaS as an abbreviation for Identity as a Service.

## Users

There are two types of users: [administrators](#administrators) and [end users](#end-users).

### Administrators

If you are an administrator, you are logged in to the **Administrator Portal**. The Administrator Portal allows administrators to manage the user accounts assigned to them, as follows:

- **Auditors** can only view information available in IDaaS.
- **Super Administrators** can use all features of IDaaS.
- **Help Desk Administrators** can manage other user accounts, user authenticators (including mobile smart credentials and smart credential definitions), and groups.
- **SIEM Add-on** provides full access to all SIEM management functions in view-only mode.

After logging in, Super Administrators and Auditors see the **Dashboard** page. Help Desk Administrators see the **Users List** page.

### End users

If you are an end user, you are logged into the **User Portal**. The User Portal allows end users to access their authenticators and applications, and monitor their account activity.

info

End users do not have an administrative role assigned to them.

## IDaaS supported languages

The Admin Portal and Service Provider are available in English only. The User Portal is available in the following languages:

## Accessing your IDaaS features

When you log in, the following occurs, depending on your role:

- [Administrators](#administrators) are logged in to the [Dashboard](/docs/get-started/identity-as-a-service-dashboard.md) page or [Users List](/docs/people-and-access/manage-members/add-users-to-identity-as-a-service/view-filter-and-export-user-list.md) page, depending on their administrative role. Administrators have access to all IDaaS menu items.
- [End users](#end-users) are logged in to their home page.

## IDaaS menus

To see your menu options, click the menu button Menu icon (sometimes called a "Hamburger") in the top-left of the title bar. Your role determines the menu options available to you. For more information on roles, see [Manage roles](/docs/people-and-access/manage-members/create-assign-and-manage-roles.md).

## Session lifetime

Once you log in, your session expires after a period of inactivity and you are automatically logged out of IDaaS. The default session lifetime is 15 minutes. A warning appears before your session times out. If you see a Warning prompt, click **Continue** to avoid being logged out of your account. Administrators can change the default time out session. See [Manage General settings](/docs/authentication-and-security/manage-authenticators/manage-general-settings.md) for more information.

note

There is no session time limit when logging in to a RADIUS application.

## Logging out

You are logged out of IDaaS when one of the following occurs:

- Your session lifetime expires.
- You explicitly log out.
- Your web browser session ends (typically when you close the browser).

note

On MacOS, you must **Quit** the browser to terminate the session.
