Transitional tasks
Consider completing the following tasks to help ensure a smooth transition to Entrust Identity as a Service.
Before and during migration
Communicate with users
- Send an email message to users that explains the migration process and what to expect.
- When migration begins, advise users not to make any changes to their knowledge-based authentication data (Q&A pairs) or token states. The changes will not be migrated to Entrust Identity as a Service if data has already been exported.
After migration
Communicate with users
- Send an email message to users advising them to authenticate only with Entrust Identity as a Service, and provide any required instructions.
Have users make any necessary adjustments to their authenticators and account information
- Add more or remove excess question and answer pairs, as required to meet Entrust Identity as a Service settings.
- Verify account information and make any required updates.
Verify that Entrust Identity as a Service settings meet your requirements
- Review settings for knowledge-based authentication and token authentication.
- Configure any desired additional Entrust Identity as a Service authenticators that were not migrated from your Entrust Identity Enterprise installation.
