# Bulk user verification

User verification allows an IDaaS user to be verified by using an Identity Provider. Administrators can set user verification in bulk in the following ways:

- Upload a group file and require user verification in bulk
- Upload a group file and set user verification to not required in bulk
- Upload a user file and set user verification to required in bulk.
- Upload a user file and set user verification to not required in bulk.
- To set verification for all users, use the IDaaS default group, All Users.

The header row in the CSV file contains only one column with Name as the value. Each row in the file must be an existing IDaaS group name. To Set User Verification for all users, use the system "All Users" group name with this new option.

tip

From the Identity as a Service **Users List** page you can filter for verified or unverified users, as required. You can export a user list from the **Users List** page to use for bulk user verification operation. Select the **User ID** as the only attribute to include in the file. See [View, filter, and export user list](/docs/people-and-access/manage-members/add-users-to-identity-as-a-service/view-filter-and-export-user-list.md).

For example, if you want to cancel required verification for users, you can download the list (in file format) from the **Users List** page, upload it in bulk and toggle **Does the user need to verify?** to **No**.

note

Users set to require verification receive an email to tell them they need to verify in order to use IDaaS applications. See [Customize email templates](/docs/notifications-and-email/customize-email-templates.md).
