Update Tenant hostnames

You can change the hostname of child accounts of your Tenant account. This feature is useful if, for example, your company rebrands and changes its company name, you can update the hostname to reflect the rebranding.

To update a Tenant hostname:

  1. Log in to a Service Provider Tenant account.

  2. Click > Service Provider > Tenants. The Tenants List page appears.

  3. Click next to the account you want to update.

  4. Click Supported Hostnames. The Supported Hostnames dialog box appears.

  5. Click Edit. The Edit Supported Hostnames dialog box appears.

    note

Edit is available only if you have the option of changing the child tenant hostname.

  6. Enter the New Subdomain.

  7. Under Select other hostname to continue supporting, do the following as required:

    • Select an existing hostname if you want to continue to support that hostname. If you select that option, users can either access their account from the new hostname URL or the old one. If you select this option, the hostname appears in the Other Supported Hostname field.
    • Select Do not support an additional hostname if you do not want to support an existing hostname.
  8. Click Next. The Confirm Supported Hostnames dialog box appears.

  9. Review the information on the dialog box to ensure the changes are as expected.

    • All application URIs
    • Email template variables
    • Soft tokens and Smart Credentials
  10. Enter your Company Name to confirm the changes.

  11. Click Save. You are returned to the Tenants List page.

note

You can also use this procedure at a later date if you want to change the option to support an additional hostname to do not support an additional hostname.
